Baby Boy Nursery
I have finally uploaded pictures of my baby boy's nursery. I started designing his room around his crib bedding passed down from my sister. I was trying to stay away from colors that were too gender specific because we kept the sex a surprise, so using her bedding worked out perfectly because it has a mixture of bright colors that could be used for both a boy and a girl's nursery. My father-in-law gave us this gorgeous antique rocking chair given to him by his mother. It is sweet to think he was rocked in this chair as a baby. The seat is needle pointed, so in order to keep it from getting destroyed by spit up and such, I draped a blanket over it. For artwork above the bed, my mother-in-law brought me an old and used Mother Goose nursery rhymn book to cut from. I had so many black frames I was not using, so to save money I spray painted them white instead of purchasing new ones. To create the skirted bed side table I bought the base from Target and draped blue and white gingham fabric over it from Hancock Fabrics. Another DIY project were the letters above his crib. I purchased the plaques, letters and ribbon from Michaels and painted them myself.
